Movie Glam!!??

Let me tell you a little bit about how glamors it is to work in the Movie business..... Today we were shooting out at the island. On days when the temp. is below 60 deg. this is not a bad place to be, however, on days like today at 78 deg. the bugs come out in numbers I can not describe. Not with words that help you to understand anyways, but i will try. To start with EVERY, and i mean EVERY person on the crew was wearing full bug gear. By gear i mean bug hoods, bug gloves, bug pants, you name it they had it. At certain times of the day you had to wipe your hood clean of bugs just so you could see. i know you think that i am egagerating but i kid you not this is the case. At 10:00am I text Melissa, this is an exact quote "I need a full bug suit. Can you see what you can find? *COST*-NO OBJECT". She is toataly awesome by the way, she found one and picked it up for me to don tomorrow. Hopefully this will help with the bites. I am still recovering from the ones i received last week. So back to the point, imagin 125 people in full bug gear standing around for 13 hours being eaten alive by bugs, on a mountain with sharp gaged rocks and dangerous cliffs filming what will consist of about 25 secs. of screen time. Still sound glamors?
The day was not all bad. i did have a lynx jump in to the back of my Suzuki Samurai and hang out for a bit till the animal trainer could coecs him out. Once they got him out he decided he was done and took off. The trainers spent the better part of a half hour chasing him down and catching him. After all that the lynx would not come out of his cage becouse the salt from the lake hurt his paws, so we did not even get the shot we spent half a day trying to get.
I got to do some four wheelin in the samurai till i got stuck and had to have transpo try to pull me out at which point they got stuck. There are usualy no roads that lead to where these people decide they must shoot. Most of the time i don't even know how they got there to decide thats where they absolutely must get that shot from.
At the end of the day we build a rig on the side of the cliff so the effects guys could blow some stuff up. All the while fighting off a massive onslaught of bugs.
Here are some Glam pics.
